Jim's Dumpster Services

Heavy Material

Asphalt Dumpster Rental

Repaving the driveway? Old blacktop has to go somewhere before the new surface goes down. We drop a dumpster built for clean asphalt.

Asphalt removal is almost always the first step of a repaving job, and it is the part nobody plans for. A blacktop driveway broken up into chunks is dense, awkward, and far too heavy for a regular dumpster. Ours is built for it, and because clean asphalt is recyclable, the price stays at $350 plus tax.

What Goes In

What you can load.

  • Broken asphalt driveway
  • Blacktop chunks and slabs
  • Asphalt millings
  • Asphalt patch material
  • Asphalt apron and edging
  • Cold patch and repair debris

The One Rule That Matters

One material. Nothing mixed in.

Every load has to be one clean material. Concrete, or asphalt, or brick and pavers. Not two of them together, and nothing else mixed through it.

This is not us being fussy. Clean, single-material loads go to a recycling facility, where the material gets crushed and used again. That is what keeps our disposal cost down, and it is the whole reason we can charge $350 plus tax for something this heavy. The moment a load has dirt, trash, or wood mixed into it, it stops being recyclable material and has to be handled a completely different way.

So the rule is simple. Keep it to one material and keep it clean.

What clean actually means

Dirt still stuck to the bottom of a slab is completely fine. So is rebar set in the concrete, or mortar still on a brick. Nobody expects you to pressure wash a driveway before it goes in the dumpster.

What we cannot take is a load of concrete and dirt, or brick with the bedding sand shoveled in on top, or a few bags of household trash thrown on at the end. If you are unsure about something, tell us what you are loading when you book and we will give you a straight answer before anything is delivered.

The Honest Fine Print

What can't go in.

  • Dirt, soil, or stone base mixed in
  • Concrete or brick in the same load
  • Household trash or garbage
  • Roofing shingles or tar paper
  • Wood, drywall, or plastic
  • Hazardous materials, tires, or batteries

How It Works

Drop, load, haul.

We set the dumpster on rubber tires right beside the work so the crew or the homeowner can load straight off the tear-out. It stays until you are finished, then one text or call and we haul it to the recycler. approximately 3 tons is included and there is no overage fee.

Why Driveway-Safe

No cracked driveway.

A repaving job is an investment in the property, so it makes no sense to gouge the surrounding surface hauling the old blacktop out. Our dumpster tows in behind a four-wheel-drive (4WD) truck on rubber tires, so the parts of the driveway you are keeping survive the job.

Who Rents This

Built for this job.

Homeowners repaving a driveway, paving contractors who want a simple published price on small jobs, and anyone tearing out blacktop who does not want to make a dozen trips.

Good to Know

Questions, answered.

Approximately 3 tons, roughly 1.5 cubic yards. Asphalt is dense, so the dumpster reaches its weight limit well before it looks full. That is normal for heavy material.

No. The stone base and any dirt underneath have to stay out. The asphalt has to be the only material in the load, because that is what lets us take it to a recycling facility instead of a landfill.

Yes, as long as they are clean asphalt millings with no soil mixed through them.

No. We drop the dumpster, you load it, we haul it away. We do not do the breakout work. Most people have a contractor tear it up and use us for the disposal.

$350 plus tax. That covers delivery, approximately 3 tons, pickup the same day or the next, and disposal. No overage fee and no travel charge.
