The Weight Allowance

What 1.5 ton actually covers.

Every rental includes 1.5 ton of weight, which is 3,000 pounds. For almost every home project, that is more than enough. A 15-yard dumpster packed with furniture, boxes, appliances, and general household junk from a garage, basement, or whole-house cleanout typically comes in well within that allowance.

The weight only matters when a load is unusually heavy. A lot of wet soil, a driveway full of dirt, or a full multi-layer roof tear-off are the kinds of jobs that can push past 1.5 ton. Those are the exception, not the rule.

We build the weight allowance into the price for a reason: so most customers never think about it. There is no scale anxiety, no per-pound math, just one price that covers the job. If your project sounds like it might run heavy, tell us what you are loading when you book and we will give you a straight answer before anything is delivered.

Why One Price

No quotes. No surprises.

Most dumpster companies make you fill out a form and wait for a callback, then quote a number that depends on questions you did not know to ask. We do not work that way. Our price is published and it is the same before you call as after.

$500 plus tax covers the 3-day rental, the 1.5 ton, the 15-yard driveway-safe dumpster, and both delivery and pickup within 20 road miles of our yard. There is no environmental fee and no weekend surcharge.

A few things do cost extra, and we would rather you read them here than find them on an invoice: weight past 1.5 ton, days past the third, service outside the 20 mile range, and a return trip when we cannot reach the spot. The full rate sheet is below.

The Honest Fine Print

What can't go in the dumpster.

A few materials we can't take, mostly for weight and safety reasons. Standard household and construction debris is always fine.

  • Concrete, asphalt, or brick (these have their own heavy material dumpster)
  • Hazardous materials (paint, oil, chemicals)
  • Tires, batteries, or freon appliances
  • Asbestos, insulation, or anything wet or flammable

Pricing Questions

$500 plus tax. That single price covers a 3-day rental, 1.5 ton of weight, 15-yard capacity, and delivery and pickup within 20 road miles. There is no call-for-quote, and every other rate is published on this page.

1.5 ton is 3,000 pounds, and it covers the large majority of home cleanouts, remodels, and yard projects. A packed 15-yard dumpster of furniture, boxes, household junk, and general debris almost always lands within it. The weight only becomes a factor with very heavy material like a lot of wet soil or a full multi-layer roof tear-off.

Weight past the included 1.5 ton is $150 per ton, prorated by what the load actually weighs, so you are not rounded up to a full ton for going a little over. If your project sounds like it might run heavy, tell us what you are loading when you book and we will let you know up front. If a load comes in over after the fact, we sort it out with you before pickup, not after.

Extra days are $35 each. Weight over the included 1.5 ton is $150 per ton, prorated. Service beyond 20 road miles adds a $50 distance and fuel surcharge. If we arrive and cannot get to the spot, or have to make a second trip because of something on your end, that is $100. There is no weekend surcharge and no environmental fee. Every one of those is listed on this page rather than saved for the invoice.

Inside 20 road miles of our yard, yes. $500 plus tax, whether you are next door in Sewell or across the county. Beyond 20 road miles there is a $50 distance and fuel surcharge, and we tell you that before you book, never after.

No. A weekend rental is the same $500 plus tax as any other 3 days. Most home projects happen on a Saturday and Sunday, so charging extra for the days people actually work would be backwards.

Call or text us and we will come get it. There is no discount for early pickup, but there is no reason to leave a dumpster sitting in your driveway either, and getting it back early helps us get to the next customer.

Not in the 15-yard dumpster. Concrete, asphalt, and brick are dense enough that they need their own dumpster, so we run a separate heavy material rental for them starting at $350 plus tax. One clean material per load, with delivery and pickup included within 20 road miles.
