The Weight Allowance

What 1.5 ton actually covers.

Every rental includes 1.5 ton of weight, which is 3,000 pounds. For almost every home project, that is more than enough. A 15-yard dumpster packed with furniture, boxes, appliances, and general household junk from a garage, basement, or whole-house cleanout typically comes in well within that allowance.

The weight only matters when a load is unusually heavy. A lot of wet soil, a driveway full of dirt, or a full multi-layer roof tear-off are the kinds of jobs that can push past 1.5 ton. Those are the exception, not the rule.

We build the weight allowance into the price for a reason: so most customers never think about it. There is no scale anxiety, no per-pound math, just one price that covers the job. If your project sounds like it might run heavy, tell us what you are loading when you book and we will give you a straight answer before anything is delivered.

The Honest Fine Print

What can't go in the dumpster.

A few materials we can't take, mostly for weight and safety reasons. Standard household and construction debris is always fine.

  • Concrete, brick, or stone (too heavy for the dumpster)
  • Hazardous materials (paint, oil, chemicals)
  • Tires, batteries, or freon appliances
  • Asbestos, insulation, or anything wet or flammable

We will not surprise you. If your project sounds like it might run heavy, tell us what you are loading when you book and we will let you know up front. If a load comes in over after the fact, we sort it out with you before pickup, not after.
